A Notebook, also known as a drawing pad, notepad, writing pad, or legal pad, is a book or pile of ruled paper pages used for tasks things as sketching, note-taking, journaling or other writing, or scrapbooking. During the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries, notebooks were typically prepared by hand at home by drawing on them into assemblages that were later confirmed. The pages were blank, and each note taker was required to draw horizontal lines across the paper.
