Automotive Radar is one of many sensor systems used in ADAS for collision avoidance, bike and pedestrian identification, and as an addition to vision-based camera-sensing systems. Pulse-Doppler radar is not typically employed; instead, frequency-modulated continuous-wave radar, or FMCW radar, is used. Modern technology uses millimeter-wave (mmW) frequencies (30-300 GHz) for a wide range of purposes.
Radio astronomy, remote sensing, vehicle radars, military uses, imaging, security screening, and telecommunications are only a few of these applications. The distance to the alleged targets of interest for STAP is known when slow-moving ground targets are sought after by Automotive Radar. With regard to automotive radar, this is not true. As a result, it will be recommended that processing be carried out at distances of 20, 40, 60, and 80 m, which should enable the timed identification of cyclists, animals, and people.
